Capsule Mastergroup — Closed B2B Store for Partners

Capsule sells paint protection film through a network of partners. Those partners need to order stock — regularly, in volume, at prices that are not public.

That is not a shop. It looks like a shop, and almost everything about it is different.

The problem

A normal online store is built to let anyone in. Discovery, browsing, first-time buyers, the whole apparatus of persuading a stranger to trust you with a card number.

A partner store is the opposite. Nobody arrives by accident. Everyone already has a relationship, already knows the products, and is here to do a job: order what they need and get back to work. Persuasion is irrelevant. Speed is everything.

And the prices cannot be public. Wholesale pricing exists because of a relationship, and putting it where anyone can read it undermines the retail side of the same business.

So: a store where the door is locked, the catalogue is invisible until you are inside, and the entire interface is optimised for someone who orders the same things every month rather than someone deciding whether to buy at all.

What we built

Closed access. No public catalogue, no browsing without an account. Approved partners only. The login screen is the entire public surface of the site.

Ordering built for repeat buyers. Catalogue, cart, checkout — but arranged for someone who knows exactly what they want. The goal is fewest clicks between arriving and ordering, not the longest possible consideration path.

Order management. Partners see their order history and status. The most common support question in wholesale is "where is my order" — the answer is on the screen.

Delivery handling. Built into the flow rather than sorted out afterwards by email.

Custom admin panel. Capsule manage products, pricing, orders and partner accounts themselves. Approving a new partner does not require a developer.

Why it was built separately

It sits alongside the main Capsule platform — same brand, same business, and deliberately not the same system.

The retail-facing platform exists to build trust with an end customer who has never met you. The partner store exists to save time for someone who already trusts you and just wants to place an order. Those two goals produce different interfaces from the first decision onward, and merging them would have compromised both — a store cluttered with warranty verification and a warranty portal cluttered with a cart.

Separate front doors. Same standards behind them.

Result

A working wholesale channel: partners order without phone calls or email threads, Capsule manage the catalogue and accounts without touching code, and the pricing stays where it belongs — behind a login.
